While a moored boat isn't quite my idea of travel, I do get the idea and the reflection would have never been as nice in motion, so I like it. Small nit: the mast reflection is grounded, a slightly different angle would have placed the end of the mast in the water, complete. 9 Swash |
| 01/02/2003 06:17:59 PM | Lake Genesisby MagsCoyoteComment: But for the grain in ths sky and the slightly overly blue (cyan) sky this is a fantastic photo! I started to offer this a 10, but those two factors wouldn't let me. Beautiful 9. Swash |
| 01/02/2003 06:16:25 PM | A weary traveler restsby bil99Comment: Wow, beautiful shot! The far wing is slight out of focus, but I've done enough butterflies to know how impossible that is! Less than common wing angle, even though it's harder to see the patterns, I like it. Very good, natural color.
10 all the way! Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 01/02/2003 06:14:41 PM | I am dumby AnthraXComment: No - the quote should read "I am too stupid to take a picture of travel". Minus an extra point for improper english. (Add it back if this isn't your primary language)
4 Swash (minus 6 for effort, but plus 1 as you made me chuckle for a second ;)
Oh yes, I'm sure you know this too, but dum is really spelled dumb, but you were probably going for another laugh. (I hope) |
| 01/02/2003 05:01:57 PM | Traveled to Watch the Elk Travelby kandyjComment: I sooo wanted to give this a 10, but the grain is heavy, esp. the face (also blurry or out of focus). And I would have loved this in color. 7 Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 12/23/2002 06:01:06 PM | mob boss and contractorby kendallComment: Once again, the Critique Club strikes first and best. This shot was a little too title dependant, even for me. Still, I gave it a 7. I thought there were quite a few good aspects and very few bad ones. Without the title, I think my interest level for this would have been less. |
| 12/23/2002 05:56:05 PM | jennifer in hot tub, 30 second exposureby kendallComment: This photo grows on me. Goodtempo did a very good job with the second critique. I agree with every point. I initially gave you a 7 on this, with the cropping (or porch light off!), I could easily see this being a 9! Camera envy!

| 12/23/2002 05:28:30 PM | Antlersby justineComment: I know this was set up, but it never occurred to me that being set up by the hands of man would trip you up so badly. Alan said it well, anal scoring. I would have preferred this in a more natural setting, as if they had fallen off after winter. (I forget is it deer that lose their antlers, or elk?)

| 12/23/2002 05:22:08 PM | And He Created Colorby autoolComment: Richard, this is one of the prettiest set ups I can remember. I do like it very, very much. I'm one of your 13 7s. If this were most any other challenge, I think I would have gone 9 or maybe even 10. |
