Tranquilityby BudComment: This almost has a 3D feel to it that woks really well; I'd like to know what lens, focal length (if a zoom) you used for this image.
A bit of a shame that the lowest part of the boat is clipped / cropped but a great image nonetheless. |

Breathby LVicariComment: Picking this up on a 2nd path - great capture, bumping from 6 to 7. |

Solitude Interruptedby NusbaumComment: I really like the image but I would have liked to have seen more texture / noise / grain; this looks like the noise reduction has been overdone. I have to say, I think I did exactly the same with my entry to this challenge, so perhaps I'm just sensitive to it. |

Sternby jay6850Comment: Wow, what a great portrait - I think the blown highlights on the head could perhaps be rescued in post processing, but nonetheless - a great image. 8. |

Broken Promisesby phiggins24Comment: I see you've asked for some comments; so i'll try to offer some. Though the comment below from pictureperfect may not be particularly constructively composed, the central point is probably true. If you want your images to score well, you would probably do well to ask your self 'Would someone put this on their wall - or at least have it as there desktop wallpaper' - if the answer is no, then it is unlikely to do well.
Your chosen subject aside, the composition could be a lot better, the negative space at the top in particular and the angle at which you are addressing the subject - as I have found to my peril, images that are very flat without much sense of depth tend to do badly.
I presume that the vignetting around the edge is a consequence of shooting with a wide angle - it can be reduced in PP but not without knowing the process and I'm no expert. |

Rockafellaby okkyComment: I am sure I won't be the only one to say this looks more than a little snap-shotty; fine for a scrap book but I don't think it lives with the competition here. |

a d v e n t u r o u sby phreakComment: I can see what you have tried to do but for me, I don't think it works - I think a more conventional choice of focus would have been better. |

Flea Market Findby jfwolpertComment: I'm not really sure why you would choose to showcase this - though you might be happy with the object, I don't think you've brought much in way of 'added by the photographer' other than perhaps the selective focus, which for me doesn't work that well. |
