I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Nice, dreamy image benefitting from atmospheric toning. The blurry dog adds much dynamism to the image and I'm a fan of the chopped head.

Overall: Nicely done.

Positives: I was glad for the title, it helped make sense of the image. I like the blurriness too - it contributes to a sense of us being too close which helps to transport us into the image.

Critical stuff: I'm just not sure there is enough in the image to make it truly interesting.

Positives: Bold - our very own ink blot!

Critical stuff: I should get it out of the way and say that I don't like the image. I think it is the toning that bothers me the most - the way the image is stripped of interest... like it has had the life sucked out of it.

Overall: This feels a little cynical (beyond contrived). I'm afraid I've taken against it a little. A least you got a reaction.

Positives: Nicely made - the expression on the girl is priceless and your title led me through the image. The tight framing defines your story well.

Critical stuff: The blurred dog is a little bothersome but I can see that was out of your control.

Overall: Very enjoyable.

Positives: What a masterpiece. Superb. The bold centred girl, the imposing buildings, the blurring of the hands, the oh-so-important choice of POV, the monochrome treatment. It just doesn't get much better than this.

Critical stuff: No!

Overall: Super-beautiful. An all time fav and the second image I've looked at it this FS that has made me feel embarrassed about my own entry. 10 and a fav.

Positives: Oh, I really, really like this. It pushes all my gas-mask buttons. The coloration, the cloud, the vignette, the tone mapping, the light - all perfectly captured and presented.

Critical stuff: Noting at all.

Overall: I really wish this was mine! I feel embarrassed about my entry. 10 and a fav.

Positives :his is excellent - one of those images that confound the brain. It doesn't seem possible yet here it is. The red of the leaves is magnificent as is the texture on the trunks. The overall lighting balance is top notch. I'd need Viveza to get it that optimised! ;-)

Critical stuff: Nothing at all.

Overall: Lovely stuff!

Positives: An interesting mix of textures - the oil(?), the surface and the flowers. I'm particularly fond of the colour of the flowers and how they serve to lift the image. I like how it feels 'square-on' too.

Critical stuff: Not much - difficult to fault something as honest as this.

Overall: A nice textual piece.

Positives: A very nice blurry abstract - but what blur! I really like the helical pattern you have produced and the colours are perfect for this - the deep red and blue combination works really well. The whole thing makes me wonder what the underpinning subject is.

Critical stuff: Nothing really.

Overall: A really super abstract.
