Inspiration..by grahampComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." For me this fits the definition only loosely. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Definitely. Nice shot. |

redby grigrigirlComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Present. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Somewhat. Incredibly pretty girl, her eyes are amazing. The car headlights are a tad distracting, but the quality of the rest of the out of focus area is nice. This looks like it should be a shampoo ad or something! |

Lake Skatingby smoon273Comment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Check. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? I think this photo would have worked better the other way around, with the human in focus. Should also make use of the full 640 pixels allowed on the long side- it would have helped your score a bit. |

It's All Fun Until Someone Loses An Eyeby ColeyComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." We see that to a degree, but more this is just a shallow DOF setup. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Somewhat. Creative idea, nicely shot, though the lighting is flat. |

Got Juice?by TuckersmomComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Check. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Hmmm, I'd have to say it is so screamingly bright as to detract from the subject(s). And because we can't tell what the background is, there is no visible relationshiip between fore and back. |

After the Freezeby eaglebeckComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Lots of bokeh here. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Actually the background bokeh is very nice, but the subject could be more attractive! |

Present. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Definitely. The only thing that hurts this image for me is the slight noise. Otherwise lovely. |

The Psychedelic Experienceby typologicComment: The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Definitely present, and so colorul. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Somewhat. This shot feels a bit contrived, and I wish there was just a little more of the guitar in focus. Nice effect on the neck though. |
