Obselete Transportation- or: Give me my Flying Cars!

The lighting here is a bit harsh to fully realize (what I believe) you were trying to achieve here. Earlier or later in day the light would be more cooperative giving you more control. I like the compositoin, but the light is just too harsh for GOOD b/w contrasts.

For this type of shot IMHO you need more OR less motion blur on the car. You also need LOTS MORE light. The colors are dull and background is not white. Did you use two pieces of background material? There is a line up and down about a quarter of the shot in from right. Things like this can really harm a shot that is set up as this one is. Or in other words, the more control YOU have over the environment, the more PERFECT the shot has to be to be recieved well at this site.

This looks to be a little overexposed. Nice composition. Colors are a little blown out.

I'm not real sure what I'm looking at. This needs some point of reference. Is it tile? A beach of some sort? I don't know and am confused.

I\'m not sure I like how quickly your eye is whisked through this shot... I think it need a little more of reference points to make it more effective IMHO Definatly interesting though!

Very nice shot here. Great focus and DOF. Love the way the lines compliment each other. I think I would have tried to crop out or move around so that all the floating stuff in the foreground wasn't there...

From the Critique Club

Things I like: I love the (positive feel of the) use of negative space here! I love the simplicity of the composition. I like the cool tones of the subject itself. I like many of the compositional elements of the shot.

Things I don't like: There are some strange lines in the vase itself that I think kind of detract from the otherwise simple feel of this shot. I think (but have never tried to shoot this type of subject) that if you chose an ever so slightly different angle that these would go away or become more interesting (one or the other.) This subject doesn't hold a great deal of interest for me so while I find it a very cool subject for study (I'm gonna try and find a similar object to study myself...), it doesn't really have staying power IMHO.

The focus just seems a touch off here. Colors are very nice as are the textures. I could tell it was a macro though without the hint...
