Confusion sets in. Your title says the subject should be the dafodils, but your shot says that the subject should be the sky. Discarding the title, the sky alone is not enough to create a lasting impression.

AWESOME composition. there is not enough detail in the background though to make this a shot that is truly effective or truly AA like as I understand the works of the master. The detail that IS there is actually a little distracting from the simple elegance of the flowers. In other words, you need either more detail in the background or less. I'm not an expert in Ansels work, but this doesn't feel quite right to me for this challenge.
