end of summerby GordonComment: Not quite sure what you were going for here... but it does remind me of an old oil painting. You know what the subject is, it's just not clearly defined until you take a few steps back an say 'a-ha!' :) |

discomfitureby karmatComment: Nice colours & use of DOF. Not sure that I'd have placed the barb so close to the centre of the frame, however... I really do like it and wanted to let you know that you'd done a super job with this :) |

Man with cigarby edmengComment: The placement of the cigar looks odd, IMO... I didn't know what it was until I'd read the title of your photo. Perhaps having the cigar centered between his lips or on the right side of his mouth wouldn't make it look like it was growing out from the side of his face.
On the plus side, I LOVE the lighting (you've nailed it!) Super sharp detail, plenty of eye-candy here. All in all, well done :) |

Baldwinby Shutter-For-HireComment: Which part of the city was this shot in? Phenomenal concept here :) But I find the partially visible pedestrian behind the lamppost keeps attracting my attention. Most fantastic work, otherwise :) |

NonComformityby banmornComment: The lighting seems to be a touch 'flat' for my taste. Perhaps having added another light either above (pointing straight down) or having it backlit would give it more 'pop' & separation from the background.
On the plus side, the concept & composition are most excellent :) |

...Eternally...by macrothingComment: Ooooh!!! This is nice!!! Never thought that an extreme close-up of a swan could look this good. PLUS, the B&W conversion makes it pop out even more. Excellent work!!! |
