Haha. I don't think I have a sense of longing for the days that these were needed :)

I do remember the days though....

my same old harp -- I wish this were bigger... Nice catch of something nostalgic though. I used to LOVE bumper cars.

A bit blurry and noisy and what's up with the blue specs on the edge of the table? I'm also wondering what the light stripe across the top is all about. Is this a capture from a video camera? Nice idea and interesting vantage point, but the tilt doesn't seem enough to be on purpose so it just looks crooked.

HA! Great facial expression -- especially the wrinkles on the forehead -- all of it :)

I like it except I find the sidelighting to be just a bit too harsh. A little fill flash wouldn't hurt here -- just a little.

My mother had the same headline paper in the Christmas ornament box. Every year, I'd read that article when we decorated the tree. Then one year, she pitched the old boxes and got new ones -- and pitched the paper too. "Why would I want to keep an old newspaper?" she asked. D'OH! See, you hit my nostalgia nerve. Nicely done.

It is amazing that this same exact shot appears twice in this week's challenge, except this is color whilst the other is in black and white. You must live close to each other -- or with each other.

It took me some time to figure out what I was looking at. The arm and needle should be sharper and the label could use some contrast so I could see the words better. Nice idea, nice angle to the shot, DOF needs work.

The chairs are a bit dark and the sky in the upper left looks blown out. I would love to see an old couple in the chairs, sipping iced tea.

Where did you find THIS machine still standing? This definitely hit my nostalgia nerve. I remember as a kid traveling across country with my parents on family vacations -- my dad wouldn't stop at a station that charged more than 30 cents per gallon. Oh, those were the days...

The photo speaks "volumes" but I think you've cropped it a bit too tight. I wouldn't cut off the right and I'd give the top more breathing room. Cutting off the nozzle and hose works for me though. Nicely done.
