Terrible Twos

Had you managed to get the mother more solid, it would have cemented this image. Another idea is to have the last image of the boy in perfect focus too. (Not for the challenge of course, but using all kinds of cloning layers).

There's some great outside-of-DPC potential in this photo.

The real disappointment here is that had you shot this is a clean, well-lit studio environment, it probably would have ribboned ;)

Crap. This was going to be my shot (Well, something like it anyway), but I said "naaaaaahhhh" and went out of town during roll-over and didn't do the shoot.

So really, this is my ribbon ;)

Just kidding. Got a solid 8 from me in scoring.

*EDIT* also, what's with all of these high scoring images falling like a rock at the end of challenges? Has that always been the case? It seems to be a worrying trend right now.

As she lay her head in her hand, giving one final smile, she was also weary. Although she loved being in front of the camera, she was missing her favorite show, and her legs were sore, and her underwear was riding, and she was getting kind of hungry and she really liked those fruit snacks you know those ones that looked like dinosaurs and maybe she kind of wanted peanut butter crackers but maybe not because they were out of milk and boy daddy is taking a long time with this shot and I wonder what Haley is doing right now maybe she's playing at the park boy I'd love to go the park right now I'll have to ask oh look there's a fly in here I sure don't like flies what time is it I wonder if...

The Day Slips Away

Kyle had been here for centuries. His beacon had lit the night. His presence the savior of so many. Now, the world had moved on. The sea had changed, the ships had gone.

As the sun set on the day, Kyle knew it also set on his lifetime, on his legacy.

With a final flash, his light burnt out, and in that twilight his legend slipped into the past.

After the storm

Jordan fought hard to roll down the rest of the beach, desperately wanting to reach the shore. All his life he'd been here, appearing one night in the middle of a storm. Now, he wished to see more of the world.

Another effort, another roll, another inch toward the sea, when suddenly he heard, "Dad! There's a great log there, it'll be perfect!"

Jordan's screams went tragically unnoticed.
