I d e n t i c a l by njsabsComment: I'm just glad a shot like this got front page recognition, even if it had to be beat by a pair of glasses with amber liquid in them. A timeless and beautiful portraiture. |

A Loving Homeby jasonlpriceComment: Originally posted by surfdabbler: I got totally the opposite impression of this image from everyone else. This is the sort of scene you see in a movie when there's some phycho walking around outside, about to break in and kill them, or the guy inside has a knife that she doesn't know about, and there's gonna be blood soon. I'm just waiting for something awful to happen with this photo. I can still see what everyone else sees, but I see the unshown contrasting side as the main emotion here. Hmm, does this mean I'm a psycho? |
If you are a psycho, then I am. That's pretty much the first impression I got. "Why is someone peeping on these people, they're gonna DIIIEEE!!"

masculinoby yankoComment: What an eclectic mix of textures! I missed this one while voting (only got 42% through this week), but it would have placed high in my vote. It's a great portrait, but is really brought to life by the DOF and the changing textures. Rough, smooth, lines, soft, hard.. gorgeous. Message edited by author 2008-09-08 00:10:56. |

Congrats though :) |

shadowmanby desertoddityComment: Highlights are blown, noise everywhere, horizon is tilted...
but this shot gets high marks and is simply gorgeous nonetheless. |

Finding Determinationby njsabsComment: I like this shot more and more every time I see it. There's drama, yet it is subtle enough that it doesn't take over the shot. The use of the DOF is exquisite. (and I'm in trouble in Shallow DOF IV if shots like this are the norm there). Wonderful, wonderful non-classic portrait. |

VvrrrooooooomM!by timwest167Comment: This is such a fun shot, I keep coming back to it. Driving fast down a road like this in a car like that would freak the hell out of me. |
