I would have liked you to have tried a close-up of the face! I know it would probably have felt intrusive to get closer, but there was a lot of potential in getting closer.

The glasses seem more in focus than the face. That makes it a picture of the glasses - like in an ad. I like the soft focus on the face though. But then the glasses should have been out of focus as well.

The light on the face is good, but the shadow on the backdrop is poor. It gives this a snapshot feel that it does not deserve.

This is a very good photo. The skewness of the fireplace is a bit distracting to me. It is not skew enough to look intentional. It looks unintentional. Either have it SKEW or have it straight.

Still a good photo. The light on Grand pa is great!

Flash is a bit hard. Maybe if she wqas a bit further from the backdrop you would not have had the shadows on it.
