Inseparableby the99Comment: This could have been a really nice image, composition is Ok, lovely doggy but the quality on the sky is shocking; soooo pixellated, kills what chance the image had. The woman's white clothing is very blown-out too. Shame, as I say I think this had the potential to be really nice. |

Dream dogby NeatComment: Part of me likes the moodiness of this shot but part of me doesn't like the fact that both the boy and dog's faces are in darkness; I find it hard to connect the affection here when I can't see any expressions. I also don't think the vignette is needed since you have the thick black border. Nice silhouettes though and it held my attention regardless of my reservation. |

Bed Time Story and Lots of Kissesby littlemavComment: Skin tones look a little peachy, perhaps a cooling filter or slight adjustment in colour balance would have helped; are you a Nikon user? I sometimes feel I get the same strong peachy hue on skin when shooting indoors with my D3100. I like the shot overall, it's really sweet and I absolutely love those dogs! I don't feel a book about them was necessary personally, seems like odd bedtime reading to me and therfore less believeable but composition and exposure are good, plus it's giving kisses! Haha. |

A Touch of Honeyby tangueraComment: I had to bite my lip looking at this early this morning to prevent a high-pitched squee of joy in case I woke my fella, haha. That pup is just the cutest thing, what an expressive face! Nice set-up too. Light on the woman's right side is perhaps a little bright compared to the rest of her but the light on the puppy is perfect. SQUEEEE. *Steals it.* |

Hairnestby GudrunComment: I'm not crazy about the high-key look, a tad grainy too but the image is funny, I like the composition, nice focus on the parrot's face. African Grey? At first I thought the affection aspect was a stretch but I know the temperament of birds and if it wasn't happy to perch on the guy's head or it didn't like him, you would not be able to get it to sit there, haha. I think this will place lower than it should. |

Joy Rideby markwileyComment: This is amusing and in good focus but there are quite a few flaws that spoil it for me; the sky is pretty noisy, the compositon is generally Ok but the perspective makes me want to look away down the road, where there is no point of interest. The blown-out patch on the dog's head is very strong too, it obscures the face which is a shame. This is something all dogs love to do which is nice but I don't feel it particularly portrays affection. |

A dogs loveby WezComment: This is very nice. Great DOF, a sweet moment, the dog certainly looks adoring of his mistress! Could be a bit sharper on the pair but overall, lovely. |

...but a small hop for humanity.by jjbeguinComment: I can't quite make out what's going on here, lol. Is that a mural on the floor? It almost looks like a projection. I don't think I'm crazy about this one, the title doesn't help me connect and there doesn't seem to be any affection captured. Shame the girl isn't in focus. |

Ollie and Alanaby jomariComment: What a handsome horse. He looks like he's being watchful of her while also enjoying the kiss. Sky is a bit blown out but it's a nice image and well-focused. |

Blending identitiesby redpandaComment: This made me chuckle. Nice clear focus, a good idea for the challenge, a very pretty kitty. I'm not a fan of sepia personally though, simply b&w or colour would have made this better for me. |
