well just to let you know that there is so much love going on in that photo, I knew it would probably be hard for people not used to birds to see. It is obvious for a bird person that this bird is smiling (you can see it in his eyes), he is really happy to have made it to my husbands head and the best part getting to stay! Because he is not allowed to stay on heads but my husband was fast asleep :)

LOL! I had a parrot once who loved to hang out on top of my head. She'd fly at me with talons extended and grab onto my hair like the wire on an aircraft carrier deck to stop herself. Ow! A human must be very trusting to let a parrot hang out on his head :-)

Cute. Would've liked to see this in color, or it might have been interesting to do selective coloring of just the bird.

I'm not crazy about the high-key look, a tad grainy too but the image is funny, I like the composition, nice focus on the parrot's face. African Grey? At first I thought the affection aspect was a stretch but I know the temperament of birds and if it wasn't happy to perch on the guy's head or it didn't like him, you would not be able to get it to sit there, haha. I think this will place lower than it should.

My fave of the challenge. Precious. Hilarious. A true love candid. (Congo grey?)
