Mynah Birdby CuttoothComment: I can't say I've ever described a bird photo as voyeuristic, but that is certainly true here. I get the feeling I'm in a perverse bird Hitchcock movie, watching the starlet. |

May 14 - Turtlesby hajekaComment: AHA! Some doughnut circles of confusion at long last!
I like the progression of the three turtles, from partially submerged on up to completely out of the water. |

Day 8 - The Concertby mrchhasComment: The shutter is dead on here. Slow enough to show motion in the guitar yet still freeze the singer. The placement of the bassist is a bit unfortunate, but anytime you shoot a band in a small venue you're fighting that same battle of composition and band members sprouting mic stands from their ears and all manner of horribleness. This came out quite nice, I think. |

filigraneby tomeComment: Man, I don't recall seeing this. It's a gorgeous photo, and the sunburst is just the cream on top. |

nothing left to sayby tangueraComment: Eh. Well, bummer about the lack of EXIF, but I'll assume you were within the constraints otherwise.
A very cool capture, much appreciated. |

A well deserved win with this one.
ETA: I rather enjoy the rocks up front. Message edited by author 2012-05-16 01:07:37. |

T'ai Chi Iby CuttoothComment: Ha! I've done this myself on occasion. I have a few shots that I've liked, but more often I'm left frustrated at the shot I knew I missed due to sheared heads or what have you. This works much more consistently if you can set your focus to manual after selecting your aperture and hyperfocal distance. This way, your camera needn't focus on the scenes around it really. |

Day 6 - The Last Roseby mrchhasComment: The use of the onboard flash has the unfortunate effect of flattening all of the interesting texture on the flower petals, which I wish was left intact. Message edited by author 2012-05-14 06:43:56. |

May 12 - Kitesurfingby hajekaComment: I hadn't really realized it, but Matt has a great point- I've not really seen any donut bokeh from this lens. The slow aperture I can relate to with my Sigma 50-500, but really have remarkable well with the lens in this SC, even with sports which isn't what I would think most people would use one for. |
