Driftwood Sculptureby ThingFishComment: Very cool. I love the rippled sand as leading lines into the wood. You can feel the warm afternoon sun from the deep shadows. The sky/clouds are great and really frame the photo well. The wood is the least interesting part to me, but I assume this is a found scene and you did great with it. |

Hedgehoppersby LevTComment: Love it. The tonality of this image gives a dreamy quality. The silhouetted birds really stand out as does the single spike of water. I think you could remove 20% to 30% of the sky and put the upper and lower waves onto the rules of thirds to give it more impact. |

morning mistby TiberiusComment: Wonderful atmosphere, very serene and peaceful. The mist amongst the tree is very nice. Perhaps crop off 10% or 20% of the sky as is covers a large part of the image and is the least interesting part. |

Just Before Sunsetby noranekoComment: Nicely seen and processed. All the elements work together foreground, middle, and distance. The sun is not overly harsh and works well. Perhaps needed a silhouetted duck or crane or something to push it to the top in a free study. |

glitch by skewsmeComment: Very interesting image. Fun to explore. I love the black/white reversal on bird/background. I think the trees/bushes on the bottom are strong elements but do not find the middle "grey streaks" to be as effective. |

St Patrick?s Dayby PaulComment: Well shot and exposed B&W with the full range of tones. The composite creates a nice but confusing set of images. Not sure I have any context on the event except the title and I am also not sure if the "?" has some meaning or is a typo (SC can fix that if you ask). Did you have other photos with the eyes visible on the two men as this could have helped the impact. |

Hello Springby grahamgatorComment: Love the minimalism here. Very simple yet effective. The bird is a small portion of the image as is the green leaves. Consider cropping in slightly maybe removing 1/3 of the top and 1/3 of the left side. It would still have the minimalism but also have more impact from larger subjects. |

In the thick of timeby mariucaComment: Nice symmetry here with the 3 tree on the compass points. Black and white works great here. Hard to compete against other brightly colored photos with more well defined subjects in a Free Study, but I like it. |

A simpel thingby hajekaComment: I like all the tones and the out of focus background. An ethernet jack, I assume? Did you try a larger depth of field on the object. It may have added more impact to the image. Or maybe less DoF, always worth experimenting. |
