Well, this one stumped me. I tried really hard to find the connection to the challenge...this is what I came up with. The flower got scared and dropped it's petals because of the BOO! That being said. Nicely done, simple, elegant, well designed. I think a different color background. However, since I had to work so hard finding the connection to the challenge, I dropped a few points on my vote. In a free study or still life, I would have gone with 8-10 depending on the competition.

I feel as if the natural colors of the leaves and bark were over-editted. There is a lack of textural difference between the trees and the forest floor.

Lots of personality here. I'm thinking that the doggy door is communicated pretty well and you might be able to crop out more of the cream door.

Hilarious. I think since everything is so exagerated here, that the background color should be brighter, keep it a neutral, but not gray. Or have the subject wear a different sleeve color...again something bright. (I wouldn't do both, though).
