20080602 Backyard Macro N14226-s720 -1.jpgby NeilComment: Ahh yes, Coccinellidae. Great late afternoon shot, love the lighting at this time.
Since his face is not well lit, therefore keeping me from focusing on it, my eyes tend to want to focus on the upper region just above his head. I guess what I'm saying is I would've preferred a lower angle to this shot.
I have to ask, was it red or orange? Is the orange tint because of the sun at that time of day? Why do I ask? I took this in March and was told it wasn't a Ladybug. If you want, read Caroline's comment in the pic below, she explains it all.

The Creators Masterpiece -- The Milky Way rising over the Pines by jlanoueComment: Crappy title but great exposure.
I take that back. Must have been in a grumpy mood that day. I like the inclusion of the treeline in this shot. But I don't get it though, if you're tracking the stars, why aren't the trees blurry? I presume the software uses one exposure for earth objects and another for the stars. Message edited by author 2008-08-17 20:33:15. |

Interior by LouisComment: Cool shot Louis, congrats on your blue. Very good pose. Who says great portraits can't be done with one light setups? ;\ |

Curves and Curls in Whiteby mgsmith53Comment: I don't see any white at all in this image. Can it be our monitors differ in calibration to that point? Or is the greenish tone there on purpose? |

Beached by the storm.by RamblinRComment: I really liked this image when first viewed, that's why I gave it an 8. It's a wonderful view and sight. It's always baffled me to see these ships get washed ashore like that. Living inland doesn't give me much of a chance to see these events. Call me next time. ;\
Congrats on your PB and top 10! |
