Desolate Lonelinessby CLarson557Comment: Nice photo. Definitely says "country", and all the flatland in the background makes it seem like there is nobody around for a LONG way. Would like to see the full-color version to see which one I like better. |

Work's Doneby ChrisW123Comment: Good subject matter for the challenge... but looks over-sharpened to me; also the hills off the distance are a little too "flat" looking. |

Roughneckingby David EyComment: Wish there was more "person" and less "structure" in the shot. Great subject matter, but the person in it is deep in the shadows. Also, it might help to "anchor" the structure better if the vertical lines were straight up and down instead of "tilting over". Not knowing what the entire structure looks like, this may not be possible or even "correct", but it looks like it is tilting to the right. Good job of capturing somebody "at work" though. |

Toronto - Where I work and playby MorganComment: Nice Toronto skyline... but I had to give a below average vote because the challenge said "Photograph a person or group of people doing whatever they do to make their living", and I don't think the people in the canoe are making a living. If they are, my apologies. |

Small Town Fishermenby russiComment: One of my higher ranked photos for this challenge. I like the colors and subject matter. I only wish the guys in the photo were actually handling some of their "catch" instead of chatting. |

The Lady In Redby GeneralEComment: Not sure if this shot captures people doing what they do to "make a living". But I'll assume they are. My critique is that the fence is in focus, and the subjects behind the fence are not. Good time to switch to manual focus if you can. Also, an "action" shot of the game in progress might have made for a more interesting picture. |

Measure Twice Cut Onceby autoolComment: Nice colors and clarity, you certainly get the feeling of these guys "working" in your photo. The "tilted" yellow truck is the one thing that bothers me. |
