Tumbling Diceby holdingtimeComment: What were you thinking with that background, its far too distracting, a nice simple, neutral background would have been far superior. The colours in the background are dull and really let the main subject down. Perhaps if you had greater DOF to make the dice sharper and the background more blurred, then converted to mono / duotone and push the contrast hard then IMO this might have been saved. |

In Full Flightby ButterflyGirlComment: Composition wise, the head is in the centre and even the percieved centre of mass is towards the centre. Having more open space on the right hand side would place the bird a third in from the left (rule of thirds) and have a nice open space to "fly into" which is a double winner for composition. Nice sharp capture though and uncomplicated background so nice and simple with no distractions |

Across the Universeby KaliComment: Interesting angle and lighting. I love the colours of the socks against the darkness. If only there was no ground or plant life on the right and just sky instead and this is a distraction. |

Going with the Windby rob_franklinComment: Could have done with a few more of the leaves being sharper. If none were properly in focus then this entry would be a disaster and you only have maybe 2 or 3 (at least the freefall ones) spot on. |

Fumbleby sibelingComment: Surrounding leaves are sharper than the dog. The tree on the left is a distration. |

Skip-hop.by remboComment: Two main subjects at opposite sides of the image. The eyes attention is divided between the two and so IMO the composition is not great. Distracting background and the ball on string is a further complication. I think just a stunning portrait of just one of the girls jumping with the feet clealy off the ground with hair flying about, no ball, neutral background and well composed would score so much higher |

Leaf me alone!by HeiSchComment: Nice DOF and lovely rich colours. Could have cropped onto the main falling leaf a bit more and although the leaves on the left are nice, they are not nessessarily in motion to the same extent and are taking the eye off the stopped motion which afterall is the whole point. You almost have two subjects, the leaf on the right and the rest of the stuff on the left which makes for a divided image and doesn't permit great composition. |

road blockby saintaugustComment: A bit more sharpening after you had sized for the submissing would have really brought out the highlights on the crest of the wave. After resizing I always apply USM with 100, 0.5, 0 settings. |
