Time Warpby ozaibakComment: Critique Club Assignment:
This really gives the impression of a time warp/travel.
The exposure is good, and the quality is good. It has limited appeal/usefulness imho. Was a good idea for the challenge.
I am wondering as I type how it may have improved the image to show the 12:26, then in the background more ghosted 12:19 or something, then even less visible 11:59.. The point is.. in a time warp, or in space, when you look to the stars you are looking back in time, ... just musing. (shrug).
Anyway, I liked your image overall.

Years Gone By.by vtruanComment: Critique Club Assignment:
Initial: Interesting subject.
Composition: The framing of this photo is done very well. The house placed in an advantagous part of the image - even the position of the house how the smaller part leads the eye to the horizon - the dirt/grass edging that leads my eye into the photo on the angle, The clear horizon with interesting topography. The puffy clouds. Nice.
Technical: The colors seem a bit odd to me .. especially the cyan in the sky, and the purple hue to the clouds. There seems to be compression or perhaps oversharpening in the entire image.
I have no suggestions on this photo besides the quality issues. |

Dinner Time.by ebuelnaComment: Critique Club Assignment:
Initial: Nice tones ... antique feel, interesting light.
Technical: Good composition. The lighting is nice, however there is grain in the dark areas. Could be a bit more in focus in some areas.
Suggestions: Since it has an antique feel, and uses antique or old fashioned-feel/diner-feel shakers I think an area of improvement would be the clock hands moved to the 5:00 position. 5:00 was the traditional time for dinner before this world became crazy,.. in America at least.. I don't know where you are from off hand so maybe this is different.
Anyway, the point is the clock saying something arbitrary like 6:33 has less impact than, say 5:00 or even 6:00..
