Sharing Wisdomby soccerdadComment: Interesting subject choice. Nice details of the statues/figurines but the image is oversharpened. Maybe a slight fill flash might have helped as the backlighting hides some of the finer details on the front and gives a feeling of being flat when we know it isn't. |

The Dawn Of Timeby wkoffelComment: Is the dartboard-like pattern supposed to be symbolic of sun rays? I would rather see the face of the pocketwatch vs the backside. Contrast seems a bit dark. |

Hover Flyby ladpupmoeComment: Not sure if it was possible to keep the insect 100% in focus while blurring the stalk or not. I would have appreciated seeing sharper details of the wings and especially the eyes. Nice job cropping as the background has nicely muted colors and are not distracting. 7 |

Rainy Day Findby pmichaudComment: Nice and simple geometric designs accented by natural materials make for an interesting combination. The green leaves look almost purposefully placed but are a welcome touch as they break up the monotony of the ground pattern. |

scrapby jus6681Comment: This has a photojournalistic feel to it and I like it. The noise and purposeful vignetting add to the feel and focus attention. I wish the vignetting was a bit more even, other than that, good job. |

Sunlightby goinskiingComment: When I first saw the thumbnail for this I thought I was looking down a tunnel and boy was I wrong. The uneven lighting, I feel, is the most interesting part of this composition and how it plays with the textures of the ceiling. |

Starting a New Cycleby HRoxasComment: I really like how the plant stem/stalk leads the eye to the new leaves/bud. I'm not a plant person so I have no idea what the parts are called but I do like the presentation and attention to details. |

Early Morning Dew Dropsby KonadorComment: This is a nice shot! Excellent macro and DOF. I was lazy and didn't vote on all of the entries but I got close. Anyway, beautiful shade of blue and excellent detail in the drops of water. The only thing that bothers me is the reflection in the left side drop. I would have voted this an 8. Great work! BTW, which macro lens did you get? |

Oklahoma Sunsetby postoakinversionComment: Very impressive with the volumetric lighting. Excellent details even in the clouds. I think it would look better if the ground was cropped a bit more to allow more emphasis on the sun and sky. I also seems the horizon line is not 100% straight but if the ground really is that way, it can't be helped so I won't deduct for that. 7 |

New reflections on my vacationby ccraftComment: This is simply amazing. You were VERY lucky to get the water as still as it is in the photo. On top of that, you have perfect reflections of the sky and mountains. I am jealous I can't get images like this. :) 10 |
