My Favorite Pair of Boots

Well, you dropped me a comment on one of my photos and I thought I would return the favor. I like the idea behind this photo, but there are a few things that I think I would change. The pair of boots are a cool idea, but I think I would like to see more of them. The dog also seems like he is a little out of focus. Maybe a little more DOF. Not a bad photo though, and i like the creativity of the idea more than many in the competition..

I agree, I am not sure how this got such a low vote. It really stands out to me as being an exceptional photo. There are some minor things that I would change, as well as some things that I really like. I think that it could be cropped a little more. I actually saved a copy to my computer real quick (Just to see what it would look like) and cropped off the left side and a little of the bottom. I think it made a huge difference. That bottom left corner is just a little too dark for the rest of the picture. I think the more that you can get rid of the better. Also, I would like to see the sun moved a little to the right. Looks good right next to the grass, but moving it a little left would give the photo a little balance. Love the shot though.
