Rooftops of the Sacred & Secularby EssAreDubyaComment: An interesting concept. What interests me about churches is their domination over the town skyline - perhaps circumstances don't allow it but I wonder whether you could have been more imaginative with the composition? |

The Suicide Gameby graphicfunkComment: The concept is a little beyond me but from a technical perspective the dirt and sweat is very well done, and well lit too. |

Where Sky Meets Waterby libertyComment: The composition is great. The concept is not ideal for dichotomy but works at a stretch - the big problem here is image quality (sky gradation provides the starkest example - put the darkness up on your monitor and look at those jaggies!!). This is the fault of the camera not the photographer, though I wonder what you are using to resize and save your jpegs? |

Off to Work, Stay to Playby karmatComment: An absolutely super concept capturing wonderful expressions and employing a really fantastic use of black and white. The weakness in the shot is the jpeg - there is a fair amount of noise and, more seriously, jaggies (the coat is the prime example with that contrast). I'd think about using another program to save your jpegs. But I'm voting high for the great concept and well-executed shot. |

Dichotomy of Signal: Analog vs. Digitalby tojlewisComment: Quite a nice concept and the composition is good too. What we lack is sharpness and definition - here we'd really like to see every groove in the record - I think the camera is at fault here rather than the photographer :) |

She Tried to Kill Me Right After We Got Marriedby Dirt_DiverComment: I think this is a bit of a stretch for dichotomy, but I like the concept all the same! I assume this shot is an originally non-humourous photo gone wrong? Either way the bride and groom do not look sufficiently involved in murdering/being murdered! It's a pity about the white shirts, as a darker colour would have worked better against such a light background. |

Nature and Mankind... Earth's future is in our hands...by xtianComment: I'm not sure whether you've selectively blurred or just used an incredibly shallow depth of field, either way I do find the blur a little too much though it undoubtedly brings the leaf to the fore and emphasises its outline. A nice and simple use of selective desat and a powerful concept well illustrated. |

Howling at the Starsby dannyleeComment: An interesting abstract well-shot. The contrast between red and blue is evident and well emphasised by the refractions in the glass. I don't feel this is enough to represent the challenge however. |
