Unbelievableby pixelpigComment: But I thought United won the champions league?! On a photographic note - the image is obvoiusly low resolution and the lighting is unsuitable for portraiture. |

However, there is an insant connection with the subject (if only he was looking into the camera!) and as such is automatically one of the stronger images in the challenge. Well done. |

Muslim merchantby wei1108Comment: I would expect this to do fairly well - the lighting is pretty well controlled but unadventurous, I wonder if you could have been more daring with it. That said, I think you've captured a lot in the expression and it's getting a high score from me. |

Nicholasby bvyComment: I like the stark simplicity of this. I'm wondering whether B&W was the way to go as there's not much towards the white end of things (perhaps a contrast boost) but the great control of light and blank expression gives us quite an insight here. Well done. |

Cardiologist Self Potraitby brayburnComment: It looks like you've focused on the heart rather than the subject - a smaller aperture would fix this one. I do like the concept but the lighting is harsh on the subject (See the shadow from the nose) and would benefit from a reflector on the other side. |
