Midnight Bluesby ArtifactsComment: I'm diggin' the shadow off to the upper left hand corner and the reflection off to the right. The color is perfect for this shot as well as the lighting. It reminds me of a clock on a nightstand with the moon shining in through the window...which I'm sure you were shooting for (I hope :-) ). Nice work. |

Driveways Wantedby jimmythefishComment: I love the graphic quality to this shot. I could see it being a poster for the Volkswagen company. Black and white was obviously the correct choice and the negative space at the bottom gives this image a wonderfully strong anchor upon which to feature the car. Excellent job. |

The Vortexby MWittComment: This image stands out for me. The reason it stands out has to do with the mans nose being the only part of him that is lit. The vortex, to me, is a neutral entity in the image, while the man adds a powerful dynamic, both in silhouette and in a tiny part of him being lit. Very interesting image, I like it! |

Humber Bay Princessby timmiComment: Although this angle is a rather typical one, I feel that it captures the essence of the bridge quite nicely. The exposure on the road/walkway as well as the bridge itself is superb, and the colors, just enough to add another facet to the image without overpowering it. Wonderful job. |

Ocean Sunset by goodtempoComment: Patience must be a virtue you have in abundance, either that or luck :). I feel that the silhouette of the deer and trees are emphasized by the muted use of color. They aren't the normal "in your face" sunset colors, they're very subtle...beautiful. This is a fantastic shot and I hope it wins! |
