and then there was manby kolasiComment: As per my usual, as I am late in commenting I won't read others comments so forgive me if I am repeating what has already been said:
What a visual impact - I feel like I have gone back in time - everyting works ... the grain, the fog, the scattered figures... the sense that something is going to happen and I don't know if I want to be there when it does - wonderful shot, and great pp. |

Under Scrutinyby GermaineComment: Late commenting so not reading others comments - sorry if I am repeating others views:
Well, The two kids in the b/g are certainly more interesting - the guys in the front have have had their days, they are slightly goofy in their presentation .. so when I just crop them out I see two kids, one goth, one semi norm and I hope for them a life filled with good things |

First Bornby jdannelsComment: Late commenting so not reading others comments - sorry if I am repeating others views:
After reading what you have posted, the child is the focal point of the shot.. he looks adorable and is happy and glowing - that's a given so let's look a litte bit deeper into this shot.. dad looks a little bit rushes.. why is that? well lots of reasons come to mind.. he is late to day care.. he is late to work .. whatever.. then there is the woman off to the left.. she is out of the light .. but not out of the shot.. is she the mom? she is not feeling as stressed.. she is just bopping along.. why is that? interesting is it not? use to be a man that would be not interested - now it is the woman... have we really come so far? leave it up to you all ..... |

abbycopdp.jpgby IraklisComment: I hope that you kept yourself safe during your photo taking dear man.. I remember voting on your shot ... but this takes it to a different level now that I know whom you are.. this is so real, gritty, and honest..the contrast is good .. your pp is excellent ... the immediacy of their action brings home the dangers.. keep safe please Iraklis |

Day 02 - Feederby shalrathComment: I am late getting to my comments so I am not reading the comments made by others . Please forgive me if I repeat what others have already said:
What struck me first was the gentle/kind expression on the face of the man.. did you shoot this from the hip or did you choose to tilt this shot? The reason I asked is that I think it would be more effective if it was not quite as tilted .. your pp is interesting.. gives it a feeling of years gone by... not a fan of vingetting in all instances .. not in this one at least.. I like your crop .. the bicycle in the frame makes me think that when he is done he will get up and leave - all in all a nice shot and an interesting story for me to make up in my mind. |

Untitledby bvyComment: Am late in commenting so I am not reading any others so forgive me if I repeat their comments:
This shot kinda creeps me out ... maybe because I am a mom and a grandma... she is looking at the little child like she/he is a bug under a microscope.. or maybe it is just the way you processed it.. (I am being kind to the mom here ok) the more I look at it the more weirded out I get.. sorry bvy.. that's it for me. |

Day 01 - Aloneby shalrathComment: I am not going to read others comments as I am late in posting so forgive me if I duplicate them
I like the wee benches that are empty that lead the eye to her.. I also like the pp to a degree.. I do find it overbright as I want to see more detail in her and I am straining to but can't see what it is she is doing.. too much detail is lost in the path way as well as I believe it would hold wonderful textures, but I could be wrong and it might be very boring and you spared me that, ... not sure why you added the vingette.. to me it did not add drama, did not make my eye go to her.. but you are the artist and you might have had other reasons that I am ignorant of.. still when all is said and done, this is a lovely study and I have enjoyed seeing it .. thank you. |
