Bathroom Bunkerby CamComment: Kitty! And I thought Tico was the only cat I knew who would do this? Does this handsome beast also sit in the sink while the water runs? :) This is a stronger shot without the mirror in it. I'd also move the angle a tad so that there is more seperation between the fawcett and kitty. |

My Petby depsComment: Very subtle color, nice sharpness and clarity. It's great to have a model who will sit long enough for you. :) |

Hockey Pre-Gameby TommyMoe21Comment: Waaaah! I want my NHL back. Excellent DOF. It's got a bit of a vintatge feel to it. Probably due to the worn laces on the skates. 7 |

Catchby TranquilComment: Loosing points for the Browns football. ;) Go Broncos!
This image screams for a selective Desat to help move the emphasis to the band. The football is just bright enough that it draws the eyes the wrong way. The band is clear and sharp, prefectly in focus. You just needed something to help direct the viewer's eye. Another option would have been a title change. |

Edgyby TranquilComment: The shadow on the leaves really make this image interesting. The dark line behind the image is distracting. I'd clone out or move the black line. I also personally prefer brighter green in the leaf. But I'm fond of overly colorful images.
The shot demonstrates the concept of backlighting well, but there's nothing else to the image. Because of time of day, the shot looks a smidge washed out. The addition of another element (bug on leaf?) would help move this from a solid technical image to something with a bit more umph.
In voting I'd have done a 4/5 depending on what else I'd seen during voting. |

Snowy Egretby waterliliesComment: I love the ripple effect of the water. Makes me think of a watercolor painting. |

Airby arngrimurComment: Perfection. This is an excellent example of the correct creative exposure as explained by Brayn Petersen in Understanding Exposure. I didn't quite get what he was talking about until I saw this shot. I have no doubt that this shot will get nailed for "not being in focus" For me, this is one of the very best teaching shots on DPC. It's also darned nice. 10, my best in show. |

Early Morning Seascape by jonpinkComment: Breathtaking. Love the colors and the light. I love the look of the water. This is one I spent about 45 minutes just looking at. 10 |
