Cute. The composition's a bit rigid, though I don't have any specific ideas on how to do it better, just maybe a little more angled. Lighting's just on the edge of too bright, but OK. Focus is great.

Odd location - why hammer in the grass? The photo's a bit too centered. Cutting off the bottom grass and adding more of the claw-end of the hammer might have worked better compositionally. It's pretty obvious that no thumbs were harmed in the making of this photo - which gives it a kind of a stiff feel. Focal point is well done. Basically an OK shot that meets the challenge, but doesn't really stand out.

Not sure if it'll reach ribbon heaven, but it should get pretty close. Nice idea, great contrast, lighting and detail. This is probably a bit nit-picky, but it stands out to me that the angels don't seem entirely lined up. Maybe it's a perspective thing. Other than that, great shot.

Nice and sharp, good subject. I would have liked it more centered (it shows that your slightly to the right of it's center), and it would have been better without that guy in the background (I know that's hard to control, but in this case another shot a few seconds later might have fixed it).

I have no idea what it is, but it sure looks cool lit like that. The only think I don't like is the narrow DOF - there's just not enough of it in focus to draw my eyes. After looking at it for more than about 5 seconds, I start to feel like my eyes are crossing and I can't focus!

This leaves me wondering what it would have looked like in color. There doesn\'t seem to be enought dynamic range for it to work well in b&w. Beyond that, I like it. Nice and sharp, good DOF.

Cinderella sweeping up on Desolation Row

I suspect you'll have a tough time with this title. I wouldn't have recognized the reference if I hadn't done a google on desolation this afternoon and turned up several hits on the song. And, to be honest, even having read the lyrics, I'm not sure I get the link with this shot, but I don't really know the song that well, so maybe it's just me. The picture is OK, but I don't get a strong sense of desolation from it. Composition is decent, focus is good, B&W is OK but predictable.
