Black and Whiteby RefractedComment: Very nice... now where's the milk? :-) Now for the serious part... I like the multiple contrasts in the shot-- black against white, eaten versus uneaten, horizontal versus vertical... all add interest to a technically superb shot. The pure white border against the slightly off-white background also works well. My favorite so far! --10 |

Good question. When I find that out, I'll let you know, but it's probably the same reason I used green kisses and a red apple in another of my shots. Maybe I'm just bizarre! |
Or a trout in a bowl of cereal? :-) Just wondering, of course, since the result(s) have been fantastic (and I would never even have considered putting them together...)

Oreos on Ice by dsidwellComment: Great shot, David!
Having played with dry ice while making homemade rootbeer a few times, I can almost feel the cold! Great capture! Just one question, though... what made you choose oreos for the balance of the shot? |

moon riseby medic391Comment: fog looks like a face. Very ominous and beautiful. It's so hard to capture the moon. Nice job. |

Ka Boom by dodobirdComment: Definitely wondering what the heck caused this conflagration! Fantastic color. Only distractions (not that you could have done much about them) are the small pieces of debris in the top center and right center of the frame. |

Unknownby sherComment: Well done... a very poignant image! I think the subdued tone of the headstones in the background emphasizes the overall mood, and I wish the front headstone were similarly exposed. A slightly different (higher) angle might also have allowed a crop that eliminated the slightly distracting stones at the top of the frame. Overall, though, a fantastic image that meets the challenge well. --9 |

Dear Johnby orussellComment: Nice, visually interesting shot. Overall composition works very well; only problem in my opinion is the slight glare off the table at the top center of the frame. |

Preservedby jillzComment: Lighting is perhaps what I like best about the shot. And it definitely meets the challenge... I'm certainly wondering exactly what the heck it is! |
