Earth and Waterby kotzieComment: Nice scene, but the angle is uninteresting. Shooting from beach level rather than the bluffs above (if access was available) would improve this a lot. Focus is a bit soft, and you've lost some detail in the rocks there. Try boosting the exposure to bring out more detail -- in-camera meters always seems to underexpose scenes like this because of the amount of light reflecting off the water. 4 |

Reflections of Narniaby timfythetooComment: Nice shot, but I've seen it one too many times in recent challenges -- that brings it down a bit for me, and prevents it from really popping. As compared with the other recent shots (which may or may not be yours), I don't think this is as good because there's not great definition between the trees or as interesting lines and forms to carry the composition -- this one is all about the processing technique, and that alone isn't enough to carry the day for me. 5. |

Field of flowersby PDavisComment: Nice scene, but kind of bland. A strong point of interest in the foreground -- bush, tree, animal -- would help, as would moving the horizon line upp or down -- the beautiful colors in the scene compete for attention with the interesting sky. 5 |

Drink the Water. Drink it Down.by jenesisComment: I had a hard time getting this image ... the color on the water is too silver after the BW conversion, lending a strange overall appearance to the photo, and no strong point of interest to grab my attention. 4 |

Earth - Air - Fire - Waterby NullixComment: GREAT idea! Actually, I shot this same thing (4 elements in 4 glasses) but didn't enter it because I wasn't happy with the result, so I know how difficult this shot was to set up. The glasses in this composition are just ordinary wine glasses, and I think that brings the image down and prevents it from popping. The flame and the earth are both kind of blurred by the glass as well. The water is my favorite ... nicely lit and well exposed. All in all I ended up giving you a 5 -- some good things, some could be improved, and an average result. |

On The Rocksby SherwinJamesComment: Nice scene, but lacks visual interest. A bird or person on that rock jutting into the water would make this really pop. 5 |

Three Elements and an Illusion of the Fourth.by docpjvComment: Nice reflections on the water, though I would have liked to see the horizon line on the top third rather than in the middle. Not the strongest connection to the challenge topic, but technically within the subject. 5 |

Cool... by TimComment: Difficult to distinguish between the water and the glass with the processing you've used here. Nice BW conversion with deep rich black tones |

At Water's Edgeby sfaliceComment: I love the reflection in the water, and would have liked to have seen the frame move down a bit to capture the whole reflection and less of the empty space at the top. |
