Tiny Vaseby Judith PolakoffComment: Wonderful light, neat and subdues sense of soft focus suits the subject quite well. Whilst I'm certain it is a macro, it has little of the appearance of one, nor of an extreme close-up; there is little sense of scale, and I have a problem with that for this challenge. But it's a sweet shot. 6 |

Geodeby MarkComment: It might almost be an 'earth from the air' shot of a volcanic crater and lake, this. The small area top left upsets the composition, to my eye; I think, anyway, such a regular, graphic image requiress a much more regular composition. Neat, but as an abstract it is too busy for my taste, and as a photograph - well, it could be a created image. |

Virgin Islandsby GPComment: Intriguing and fun. Great metallic sheen to the background, works perfectly with the reflections and the lights. Suitably deep depth of field for such a graphic shot. |

Don't Be A Clinging Vineby bobgaitherComment: Whilst there is some interst here, specifically in the colouration - although that has the feeling of ebing overly pushed - I find the overall construction of the image untidy and directionless. I would personally have tried to isloate the berries more strogly, either with more extreme depth of field, or simply framing them against the read of those leaves. |

Soap and Waterby TranquilComment: I like the grey/gold tones here. It's a pretty good capture, although I have reservations about the out of focus/blurred area at the top of frame in the water. Interesting reflections and refractions but doesn't quite do it for me, overall. |

Amberby LisaCanComment: Nicely executed abstract, though not the kind of busy and indeterminate stuff i really understand. Thhere's a strngth evident in the composition, for sure, but in general it leaves me cold, I'm afraid. |

I can see you baby!by StagoleeComment: So weird. Pretty well done, though the reflection is contradictorily busy for such a very simple composition. The surround of the eye looks so like minced beef it's difficult to get past that. |

The First Dropby anirenoComment: The inverted view in the drop is ditractingly almost definable - whereas I think the strength of the image is in the colour, rather than that diffraction. Quite a neat shot. |

10 mg tabs of real Ecstasyby DustyOComment: Lots of evidence of compression fomr a very small file size has hurt this a lot. Even without that attendant loss of detail, would it really have had an exceptional edge to it? I can't imagine so, I fear ... |

Fingers do the walkingby srozmusComment: Quite nice graphically, but seems over-shaprened, and I'm not convinced it was veer going to make an engaging shot - very little sense f three dimensionality to find here. |
