Mostly Hiddenby MaryOComment: This one is very creative. I like the shadow on the strong red, and the little antennae give it the "awww" factor.
That 105mm Nikkor is an outstanding lens. I bought one in 06 at a pawn shop for $60, and it's one of the sharper lenses in my kit. |

Oct 13 - Tomatoesby hajekaComment: You remind me that tomato harvest is about to begin here, and my work is in overdrive getting packing machinery ready.
You make them look very appetizing. You are the "Food Dude" LOL. |

Newby RetroesqueComment: It's pretty good the way you lined up the staircase so that even with the fisheye, it looks straight.
Congrats on your new concrete! |

Cadillac Ranchby Yo_SpiffComment: Color texture and pov are kickin' butt here. It looks like it's about to eat the next one in line, or maybe it's a drill sgt. What a cool and unique find. |

Altered Alternatorby jomariComment: Congrats on the good finish in the challenge! It helped a lot to zero in on one item in the rusty motor! I felt that this was your photo, but was not voting. |

Where has the time gone???by sjhulsComment: Truly an excellent image. I can see why this would be one of your fav's.
I don't know if it is on purpose, but it has a slight green cast to it. If you scanned it with a color scanner, you might try tinkering with the color controls a bit on the photo file, with the processing program that you normally use.
Love the suspenders/overalls too, and yes, the little ones grow some every night, and suddenly they are no longer little. You can never have too many photos of them at this age. |

6575 Moss in Bloomby pixelpigComment: The subject is sweet! The bright spot in the background is a distraction, but the foreground makes up for it. Just a little fill flash would have helped with both the bright spot, and bringing up detail in the plants. A slightly higher angle would have taken out the bright spot as well.
Love the subject. |

Cowsby dali_lama_2kComment: A gradient ND filter would have helped to get some detail in the sky. You say you were driving when you shot this, so setup and forethought are necessarily minimal.
A touch up with levels, contrast, and saturation would help this quite a lot, to get the trees in the BG to show off their colors.
Last, in the future, be more careful where you stick the fence posts. : ) |
