It being a side challenge you could clone with impunity ;-) So you could tone down the bright spot (I don't think I'd make it go away entirely) and add more of that cool woven texture to the foreground so there wasn't so much blur in my face. I like the overall composition and the small focal area for the most part, because the background bokeh is just lovely.
And I like your choice of subject; I have a moss in my yard where the flowers look dead till I water it, and then they spring to life in milliseconds, right before my eyes. Way cool stuff, mosses and such :-) A whole 'nother world. |

Very cool shot, has an almost scifi feel to it. |

I rather like the lack of focus. The bright spot is a bit of a distraction, works better if its cropped out but then moss stems are a little two close to the top but as aspect ratio it works (then I do like long narrow images). The colours are great. I guess if you shoot a little higher looking down you could lose the light spots. You'd need to make sure that the stuff like that leaf in the left is not in frame. The other thing I like is the almost knitted look of the moss base. |

Really lovely: the assertion of moss against dreamy/emotional Monet/Van Gogh. |

The subject is sweet! The bright spot in the background is a distraction, but the foreground makes up for it. Just a little fill flash would have helped with both the bright spot, and bringing up detail in the plants. A slightly higher angle would have taken out the bright spot as well.
Love the subject. |

Wow - this is pretty lovely. Delicate with strong colors. The part in focus is awesome, the rest has amazing bokeh. I love it. |

I like it, I can't say I would change anything. If I get really nit picky I would say the focus is too much at the base of the shoots, I think it should be more out of focus or the shoots more in focus to match. |

Oh I love this. I almost feel as if I'm on another planet or something. Love the perspective. You make me want to go lie on my belly in the early morning grass to get a similar shot!! |
