Day-26.jpgby EBJonesComment: This looks like a very nice green space to have a picnic or a break from work. I like that you left the tips of the palmettos in the corner. |

Day-21.jpgby EBJonesComment: This looks like a snowy egret. They have black beaks and legs with yellow feet. They were hunted almost completely out of existance in the 1920's when their mating plumage was popular for ladies hats. I think they are the best looking of the egrets, although not the largest.
Excellent capture and pp. The slight wave in the water is great for this. |

It's Gonna Rain Out Here -- Mind if I come In?by SandyPComment: This is sweet. Did you know that they have no teeth. They will take your fingers in their mouth if you hold your hand out flat to them. They do not bite hard at all. They are very curious, and will taste and feel things with their beak and tongue. There used to be an ostrich farm nearby, and this is how I found out about that. They love alfalfa to eat. It's the big legs and feet that are so dangerous. They can also run forever, like over 50 miles non stop, which is, I guess, why they don't need wings. Amazing creatures, with big brown eyes and long cute lashes.
The tame ones will stick their beak right on your lens if you hold your camera up to them. It makes a killer fisheye shot. Message edited by author 2007-02-28 12:57:27. |

Redneck Retirement Homeby griz210Comment: This looks like happy campers. Like the paint job on the "toon" boat to match the bus. Gotta keep up appearances you know.
Looks to me like this is some people who know that there is more to life than chasing the dollars.
Good for them. This is a nice glimpse of an American getaway. |

Day 20 Folly Pierby UNCLEBROComment: When I saw the thumb, I thought "why did he photogaph an attic?" I used to do air conditioning work, so I guess my mind is conditioned to think about that.
In the full size image, there is good use of the perspective effect of the repeating patterns, and just enough detail in the sand to give a sense of the depth of the image. |

Day 27.1 - The Yacht Clubby xianartComment: I am happy that they have updated the yacht club. It must be very popular later in the year. Nice sharp image, and good light for it. |

Walk the Dogs Day 25by emily212Comment: This looks like a good place to walk, because you have a good level walkway, and a great view. The dogs seem to be enjoying being out too. |
