I adore pier shots. Whenever I'm in Daytona, where my mom lives, I am standing under the pier taking photos. This is a great photo. |

When I saw the thumb, I thought "why did he photogaph an attic?" I used to do air conditioning work, so I guess my mind is conditioned to think about that.
In the full size image, there is good use of the perspective effect of the repeating patterns, and just enough detail in the sand to give a sense of the depth of the image. |

It's a little bit eerie, like one of those corridors you see on horror films where you run and run but can't get to the end. Love the shadows of the beams, the editing is really cool. |
