Day 14.1 - Kiska - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Nice job of getting this one back from the twilight, which is where I shoot a lot as I try to stay out of the "blown highlight" zone. I like the border too.
Kiska looks a lot like a stray dog that I had for years. He was a fine dog, but loved to bark and dig holes, so I named him "Stupidyellowbarkingholediggin'dog". He liked that. |

Day 5 edited: What's leftby ShmeeComment: Wow! This went right from "blah" to "Yah!"
Very nice dress up job on this image. I took me a minute to decide if I liked the border or "note" too, but I like it. |

Marshall Point Lighthouseby LN13Comment: Excellent time of day to shoot this scene. I see that the tide was very low, which allowed you to get the angle that would make the scene look good too.
I notice that the actual "lighthouse" part of the tower looks almost exactly like the one that is at Fort Jefferson Nat'l Monument, in the Dry Tortugas, off Key West. They must have been building them from a pattern at the time that this one was constructed. |

Tulipby mia67Comment: The backlight, the shadow and the subject combine to make this a very pretty image. Simplicity is powerful. The desat is nice too. |

Opening my heart again...by MuppetComment: Good set up, but needed more light on the rose to get it to work right IMHO.
That's an old looking box. This is a good group of items for an image. A pillow or something to get the box up to the level of the rose would have made a more compact looking arrangement. |

MinimalDay4EditedWeb3.jpgby cogeroxComment: You really turned up the "Good Pic" slider on this one. This image will be giving your family a lot of smiles for a long time to come. It just looks like the whole essence of childhood outdoor play you have captured in one image. Great shot to begin with, and even better now. The crop helped a lot too. |

Horse Edit Day 11by emily212Comment: This horse looks good now, with the strong back lighting accented. The area from the brisket to the tops of the ears would make a great vertical crop with the way the light is shining thru the mane.
For advanced editing, you may want to clone out the little pile of horse biscuits. : )
My niece has a horse about this size. They are beautiful animals when they are happy.

Rocks Edit Day 10by emily212Comment: I like the higher color levels too. This makes me want to re-edit an image that I shot in New Mexico in the Rio Grande Gorge.
The moving water looks good at the shutter speed that you used. I wonder if you shot this at several shutter speeds to see which image looked best? |
