Orange Baroque Chair and mirrorby Pattyd1230Comment: The flash on this is a little harsh and the corner of the walls cuts into the composition a bit. If you had have been able to have gotten straight in front of it to aim, it would have been great. Mind you...then you'd have had a problem with the reflection in the mirror. LOL This was a difficult shot to get a great shot of. |

exultateby tnunComment: I really like this one. Of course, the processing isn't likely to fly in here but, I really like the depth it seems to have with the almost transparent ground! 8 |

Recursive Navelsby pointandshootComment: Really inventive and creative shot! Love the out of the box thinking on this shot! Love the focus, and DOF as well. Now, if only you'd put a couple of dabs of orange on the little tree, voters wouldn't be forced to say..."there's no ORANGE in it" ROFL!!! 10 from me! |

I finally see sunby MadukesComment: I'm so sorry that you got no comments to explain anything to you. It must have been a very frustrating and lackluster challenge for you to sit through. Don't worry...I'm not much above you in this challenge LOL.
You know what? IF you had a program like Topaz Adjust or Photomatix or some sort of tone mapping/HDR program, this shot likely would have done very well! It's got some GREAT elements in there that, brought out, would have really been a very interesting shot! The only real difference between your shot here and some of the others that are of similar content is that they have and know how to use the editing programs. In all reality, if you go and look at some of the upper scoring shots, you'll find that they often put in "outtake shots" and that can show you how their editing has improved their shots and the difference editing can make. Yes, we need decent photos to work with to begin with but often, it's got a lot to do with knowing how to edit well. That's what I'm learning and I'm trying to experiment with editing more and more. The masters in editing are the ones who are 2 steps ahead.
I know that the programs are expensive...to expensive for most of us but, if you can get someone to share them with you...well...you get my drift. :) |
