In a regular challenge, I can only hear the comments about the over exposure and "blow outs" *grin* BUT......we're here, learning to express ourselves and some of the great shots in advertising have been purposely over exposed and blown out to highlight certain focal points. Love them both actually!

Now there's a shot most of us see everyday in a big city but, never think to take a shot of it. We're usually too busy trying not to stare at anyone to think to take the shot! Great focus and clarity as well as tones.

I like the idea that you've hidden half of the model's face and makes you wonder what the other half of him is like. With everyone's facial asymetry, one can only guess and that's part of the mystery, isn't it?

As for the photo itself.....as one struggling with learning myself, I think it might be much stronger if the contrasts in tones of B&W were a bit stronger.

You know, reading your description there, I'd have to agree with you that it would be "slaughtered" in regular challenges in here. But, this is where I feel that we are losing our abilities to use the tools that we have with photo editing software! It's such a shame because it keeps us to being "realistic" rather than the oh so many different things we can truly do to make a photograph a true piece of art!

I really like this piece Color! It's striking and something that would make a great print. Picture a black frame with a LARGE white matting! It would be a stunning piece on a modern wall!

Great work! Captures my attention and tastes very well!
