Fast and Easy Tex Mex Dipby GolferDDSComment: Oh man, I love this stuff! I like the formal arrangement for something that is not really all that formal--nice idea for contrast to get our attention. Was this taken with a flash? If so, you might want to experiment with natural light. Nothing is moving, so you could even do a long exposure. Better yet, set this up outside on a sunny day--but in solid shade, and you'll get brightness, natural colors, and a generally more sophisticated look to things. Note the bright spots on the spoon, plate, and other items and also note the harsh shadows behind things. This is what a flash does. So have fun and experiment! Then send me some of that dip! |

Antacid Aftermathby GeneralEComment: Yep. I'll need these after all of the food I'll be making--and eating--after this challenge is over! Nice point of view, and I like the informal arrangement of the pills. I would recommend getting even closer, since the lines, shapes and colors around the pills aren't really doing much in terms of helping the photo communicate anything. You may want to experiment more with point of view, too. If this is 'antacid aftermath'--a lovely title, by the way!--how can you best communicate this feeling or mood? Will special lighting or a special background help? Just things to think about. I think this is a solid photo with lots of things going for it. Good luck! |

Lunch for the Busy Momby NeuferlandComment: You don't know how many times I've given popcorn to my kids for 'dinner!' Nice idea. The popcorn in front of the bowl adds a nice informality that popcorn usually has. I would recommend you just sharpen things up a bit with focus, and then with post processing. You might also want to experiment with adding more contrast to get your whites just a little bit whiter and your darks just a little bit darker for a cleaner, clearer image. Nice work. |

Beakers!by dsa157Comment: This was a good shot in this challenge. Nice colors and composition is right on. You might want to think about brightening up the whites in the shot, giving it a cleaner, crisper look. I like! |

Hiding among the treesby JasperComment: I'm just reviewing some of my favorite shots of this challenge, trying to learn things so I can be a better photographer. This is a really nice photo. I like how the trees frame the building and how the top of the building is in the upper left part of the photo--giving it added height and importance. Keep up the good work! |
