Car Graveyardby UrfaKComment: I agree with the weeds behind the car causing some distraction. Also the picture seems a little off center to the right due to the crop. It does seem like an interesting subject though. Maybe a dawn / dusk shot would make it a little more dramatic. |

Snow Falling on Cedarby MaryOComment: I'll also echo the DOF sentiment. If the whole main branch was in focus I think it would help. Also you might try to isolate the branch and highlight it in some way (maybe even lighten it up, or burn the background bokeh. That said the composition and colors are good. I probably would have voted this a 6 as is. |

Winter Berriesby cpanaiotiComment: I think this should have scored better. I think the colors, DOF, and bokeh are spot on. Not sure it would be possible but if you could have composed it with the two reds at opposite points of the thirds, it might have helped the flow of the picture. That said, I would have voted it a 7 had I voted. |

Web of Woodby Donna21Comment: Good textures and geometry. Not sure how you could improve it... I also agree that it would very likely do better in a more specific challenge. It just doesn't jump out at you in a free study. |
