Broken Peaceby KylieComment: I like the processing on this. I really like the grainy feeling, but the whites on the statue are the only "over the top" areas in a general sense. Knowing the style of the artist, It helps me to feel the place where your thoughts are in this. It's great to read your commentary when I view a picture like this. It's a stunning capture and your comments give me some insight into why this is so different from your other work. A different mind-set, but the talent showing is still quite strong. Broken Peace is the perfect title and an expression of your distain for the damage to a place of such serenity. Your heart is showing in this one Kylie. ~Peace

His first glimpse of springby saintaugustComment: Now this has style! What a great scene. The dog pulls this one together and gives the feeling of wanting or waiting. The color is natural and not over saturated. Great detail throughout. The dark door pulls interest to the center and balances the focal point. I like the green lock at the top, I'm sure there will be some who suggest you crop it (I think it needs to be there). This is a classic style shot and I think you've done a great job of keeping this timeless. I love it 10 |

Behind The Green Doorby sherComment: This capture is loaded with unusual colors that really stand out in this challenge. I love the sliver of light showing through the back wall and the diagonal lines from the door hanging on one hinge is just perfect. Great detail in the wood and the gritty feel of this is just right without going too far. This is one of my eleven 10's in this challenge. Great work! |

Swing, Swing, Swingby sherComment: I am glad to see this find it's place within the top 18 shots. I love the angle and the candid expression on her face says it all. Great work as usual Sher! |

he put some tacks on teachers chair...by palmfrodurComment: My eye went straight to the tack on this! I sat here for a few min looking at how much there is in this photo and how small and seemingly insignificant the tack is. This picture says a lot for leadlines and utilization of the rule of thirds. I'm wondering how many comments you are getting about the tack being too hard to find. I had no trouble at all. I find this to be an interesting study. I wonder if I were looking at this picture without the topic in my head if I would still see the tack as quickly as I did. The Eye goes 1st to the large dark patch in the upper left and then follows the leadlines and stops on the tack at the rule of 3rds. Remarkable use of lines and spots to bring such a great amount of attention to such a small area of the picture. 10 |

Shadows of Oldeby fulgentComment: I almost shot this same building for this challenge. What are the chances of that happening? Right behind you is where I shot my first entry for DPChallenge. Great idea, great shadows and good choice for Black/White. 7 |
