Excellent Work! I believe one of the most difficult challenges of shooting for a self portrait contest, would be to get the audience to relate to a total stranger in a positive way. I think you have accomplished that quite well here. Nice skin tones, great job of dropping clutter from the shot with the black background. My only suggestion to improve the composition would be to keep the focus sharp all the way down to the feet, or remove them from the shot all together. All-in-all, it's really a great shot.
It scores a 9 from me.

I have a small handful of these old Coke and Pepsi signs from the early days. I̢۪ve been thinking about shooting a full collection of everything like this I can find. This one is really great. The processing is unusual and it still has that old charm. Great work as usual Sher.

This is a beautiful shot Germaine. I think it could crop some from the right side to keep it from center. The sign in the back is a great addition, but i might have moved over just a tad to give some light between the signs. Your actual entry is very nice, but i think this is a more universal and timeless capture.

This is a well thought out composition and an excellent photograph. The subtle tones are showing nice detail in the shadows without blowing the highlights. The bright orange vest completely balances the dark shadows on the left and the splash of color in the reflection is superb. High marks for one of my favorites in this challenge.
