wolf spider - face to faceby rozComment: woah...Two hot macros on the bounce. Maybe this does not have the instant aestetic appeal of the dragonfly but it is still an outrageously good shot. You gotta love those 'eyes' |

nature's brillianceby rozComment: Roz, many congrats on the high finish. This is a wonderful shot. I love the fact that it is away from your 'normal' style. So delicate and such vibrant colours. Great bokeh and a super leading line |

Breakfast of Championsby WalesPComment: Woohoo!!!!!!!! Many many many congratulations on the top ten finish and the great score. The fact that two people scored this a 1 or 2 is quite frankly risible
This is a stunning shot that captures both a fantastic animal portrait and also action. In terms of colour and sharpness the image cannot be faultedand I love the leading diagonal that you have created
Breathtaking |

Autumn Smilesby SandyPComment: The flowers are indeed beautiful and the lilac/yellow/green colour combination works fantastically
Super dof as well which gives the backdrop a hint of bokeh without diminshing its impact |

Veteran of Many Warsby SandyPComment: Sandy, I was shocked that this did not finish higher in the FS as I thought it was a nailed on ribbon when I saw it
I love the fact that you have got a great deal of softness in the image and that the colours almost look pastel. This contrasts wonderfully with the pure strength of the stag (though its expression is one of tender/kindness rather than any type of threat or aggression)
Super composition as well, another simply breathtaking image |

Fall Fireworksby bassboneComment: Peter
When I saw this in the challenge I loved it but wondered whether it would get marked down as not being 'flora' enough. So glad that it didnt, this was a really refreshing change and I love the backdrop of a wall of leaves. Great contrast on the branches as well which gives the picture a 3d feel and lots of 'pop' |

Now Where's the Fly?by CharleneComment: Ha...who needs a high score when you get to photograph something as cool as this. I still cant get over that little critters splayed feet and I love the background of pond weed. A shot that will always make me smile |

Splash of Colorby colorcarnivalComment: Hey you, good job and it feels like you have got your love of challenges back which is great. Love the soft range of blue hues from the sky to the sea and the way that this emphasises colour of the leaves on the branch. Great application of the rule of thirds as well
Nice shot Michelle |

Window to the Pastby jackal9Comment: Jack this reminds me of some of the images that you took in the B&W challenge a few months ago.
Abstract and desolate yet the way you have pp'd the shot makes it appealing visually
Great mixed textures |
