What Was Will Beby SandyPComment: I love seeing high quality restorations of historic buildings...IMO even better if they can be returned to the public domain rather than becoming simply condos for a few, but even if they do become apartments then at least everyone will be able to see the magnificence of this structure.
I love the architectural contrasts here of the stunning brickwork (which has a feeling of Victorian opulence) and the silo and 'bridge' which are plain and functional (but still possess their own strange beauty). the chimney on the right gives a nice counterpoint in terms of height and width.
Thank you so much for posting the old picture as well just so people can appreciate the change that has been made |

Light's Up the Skyby CharleneComment: I love this, it makes me think of the aliens from the original version of War of the World. Fantastic PP on the sky and clouds. I love this image and I (really) cant believe it did not score higher |

Moorish Temple in Snowby CharleneComment: Very nice POV on this shot and I am impressed that you managed to pp so well given it was basic editing
I love the complimentary reds and greens in the shot |

Babyby colorcarnivalComment: Michelle, from my perspective your fears about the blow out are unfounded as the way you have PP's the shot takes it away from blow out and actually makes a high key feature of it. Very nice capture and I hope you had a good time at the refuge |

Skatin' the Architectureby ShannonLeeComment: Wonderfully surreal urban shot. Fantastic counterpoint between the silhouette of the skateboarder and the detail of the bridge and I love the capture of both the diagonal and straight leading lines.
Very nice (as ever) B&W conversion |

Shipwreckedby KarenNfldComment: Great shot that depicts both the majesty of a large ship and the sadness of decay (bizarrely I can see a sad 'face' in the vessel. I love the composition because you get a real sense of the ship looming above you without it being overpowering
Beautiful use of colour in terms of the splash of muted red in the frame. How anyone gave this a 4,3 or 2 is beyond me |

watchingby RetroesqueComment: Ha well it made me smile to read that this was not a set up (to be honest during the voting I had thought it might be and was a bit confused as to what the person taking it was trying to say)
I love the dual reflections in the TV screen and window and the complimentarity of the house colour and the chair.
Vert surreal shot which just has me dying to know more about it |

Water Dancerby AliciaComment: MMM I really like the pelican shots that you have been taking with your new camera. Love the fact that you have captured such a precise moment of action with the birds feet just leaving the ground. The high key finish works well although perhaps I would have liked it even more if I could have seen some of the bird's features. Lovely composition on this shot. Very beautiful |

Safe and Secureby CharleneComment: I love this image, the softness and the noise really give the feeling of both the blurred vision of a child and of a time long past.
The composition is fantastic and I cannot think of a better image. Straight to favourites |
