I don't think this will do well because people don't like things that are blown out and I have used the contrast in such a way that the snow in the background and the branches in the foreground are all bleached out. But I'm putting this in anyway because I loooooove the sweet face! This guy (or gal?) was found at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge

What I like best about this is the sorta gawky pre-adolescent nature of the beastie - kinda knock-knee'd, a little awkward, and has that baby fur growing out thing going on. I have no problem with the snow - looks like snow to me.

The white snow really adds punch to the babe's innocence. I think it's a great bonus to a sweet capture.

Well, unlike the majority of the voters, I love this - big fan of high-key (see my miserable scoring Jan FS). You've given a good photo an artistic twist and made it visually so much more interesting. The conversion is excellent, too.

Michelle, from my perspective your fears about the blow out are unfounded as the way you have PP's the shot takes it away from blow out and actually makes a high key feature of it. Very nice capture and I hope you had a good time at the refuge

Nice capture, although it looks like it is a bit overexposed in the background.

good shot but I wish you had retained the color....I think it would give more warmth from the fur. Even so, you did a good job framing the fawn. Good luck.
