Országházby howardjComment: Weather wise it looks as though this wasn't a particular good day for taking photographs! Whilst you have caught some good glistening water, the sky - which takes up more than half the photo - is dull and devoid of interest. |

Before the Gameby jfwolpertComment: A tighter crop, losing the right hand section to the division of the advertising board may help to make this composition a little more balanced. |

17th Century Meets the 21stby missinseattleComment: I will own to bias here, as I am no lover of partial desaturation. I find the choice of blue as the only colour to remain makes the photo look very cold. I would suspect that you are trying to draw attention to the contrast between the historic dress and the intrusion of 21st century paraphenalia, but I feel it would have been better left. |

Sunset at Black\'s Beachby KnightmovesComment: The composition of this just doesn't do it for me. I like the idea of the lone swimmer returning from the sea, and the shadow and the use of silhouette is effective, although I would have preferred the figure to have been just a little larger and further into the frame. |

cokeby whiterookComment: I may be missing something here, but I don't really see the 'point' of this photo - perhaps it's a cultural thing and I'm completely missing the relevance of the bottle tops? |

A Sailors homeby SheryllComment: The focus is a bit soft - did you use auto focus, or manual? Many cameras struggle with auto-focus in low light, so ifyou were using this it may be better to switch to manual next time round. The photo is also tilted; a slight adjustment would sort this. The composition and scene have potential. |

The Bridgeby bcobleComment: I find the tilt rather off-putting. Additionally there seems to be rather a lot of what appears to be chromatic abberation on the sky line - one of my lines has a problem with this, so I have to be careful what I choose to shoot. I am also wondering how you had the white balance set - personally I would have been tempted to set it at a higher colour temperature. |

Boxing Mantisby ShmeeComment: A clever idea; the blurred legs are very effective, but it is a shame that there is some movement in the rest of the body resulting in a rather soft image. Definitely worth trying more of these, 'though. |
