Dawn Breaks O'er Earth and Skyby levyj413Comment: I don't think your title is helping you here. I love the way you've captured the stormy dark clouds on the left with the bright chearful fluffy clouds on the right. Maybe a title that played on that would help viewers see that dichotomy a little better. Maybe "from stormy night to sunny day"? Or something else close to that. GREAT capture by the way. With no title at all I can see dichotomy in this shot. I can't say that for a many entries in this. 9 |

The Suicide Gameby graphicfunkComment: That's actually a very scary shot these days. I really like the shot but I'm not sure I get how it fits the challenge so comment only - no vote. |

Faith and Violenceby meneleComment: I like how you've depicted more than just one faith in this. I also think the desaturation level leaving just a hint of color works quite well to affect the mood of it. A little more clarity on the gun would have helped as well as maybe adjusting the highlights and shadow or brightness and contrast in a layer with just the gun would have brought it out just a little better. After the challenge is over if you'd like for me to show you what I mean then just PM me. Excellent idea for the challenge. |

between Liesby lovethelightComment: I don't think your title is helping this amazing shot. Maybe something like before and after makover would have worked? Although I'm sure she put on make up, did her hair and put on the earring on one side only I can still tell that some of her beauty on the made up side is from editing because of the lack of red lines in her eye on the made up side. If you had left in just a hint more of them I wouldn't have known for sure. Great job overall on this really though. Just my little nitpicks. 8 |

Where Sky Meets Waterby libertyComment: Did you do a hue adjustment on the sky? There is a line at the horizon that doesn't seem to be either sky or water. Maybe your adjustment layer for the sky included some of the water which made a different colored line from both. |

Double Dichotomy: Black & White – Hunter & Preyby JohnLampkinComment: What is that? A white moth? I know this probably wasn't an easy shot to get and not subjects willing to cooperate with poses but a different color in the bg would have set this off a little better. It is advanced editing though so possibly a hue adjustment on in layers on the bg would have done it. The spider needs to be a little sharper imo but not a bad shot at all. Difficult to catch nature in action like this without making the spider go away. Good catch (no pun intended). |
