D8: Pretty Kitties All in a Rowby cginoComment: Aw, they're adorable. My first cat had been feral till she was 6 months' old but she eventually came out from behind the furniture and warmed up to us. There's still hope for these little guys. Watch that biting thing, though, or you'll wind up with an infection (yuck!) for your troubles. |

Day Sevenby Bear_MusicComment: Originally posted by Bear_Music: Originally posted by annig: One thing that strikes me as off though is the photo seems a bit grainy in the BG, either too much sharpen or sat or both??

Too much sharpening to rescue a softish shot. |
Hmm. Not that I've ever run into that problem (yeah, right) but maybe go back before the sharpening and increase the contrast more, then reduce the sat slightly on green, then sharpen? The composition is lovely and the flowers (are they peas or wild peas?) are a nice contrast to the green, it's just the blue haloes that are distracting. OK, and maybe a wish for a smidge more DOF in the first place, but I'm sure you knew that. |

Day 8~Loosestrife~by annigComment: Processing looks good to me. I might crop more so it's not so centered ... off the right, I think, so the point of the flower heads more or less towards the corner of the crop. |

veined pink.jpgby SheryllComment: Pretty pinks and nicely veined. Looks like maybe a little more DOF would have brought more of the foreground flowers into focus. |

spotted bells.jpgby SheryllComment: Are they really spotted or is that a processing thing? Looks like little bacteria under a microscope :-p |

Rabid Mint Leavesby Art RoflmaoComment: I would feel sorry for the mint, only it's mint, which is in reality a vicious weed trying to take over the world, so if it loses to the Hellyans I say, "Go, Hellyans!!!" I wonder if they're interested in, say, bindweed, so I don't have to keep ripping it out of the ground every week. A nice quiet infection ... do thay take bribes? |
