Sorry for the quality, but this was taken through a window.
I've been talking a lot about Mercy's seven kittens, but there is another little stray cat mama (Quirrzle, a pretty black kitty) who we've given refuge to in our yard. These are four of Quirrzle's five kittens who spend most of their time in the open shed in the back yard. The fifth is another brown tabby like the one in the lower right hand corner.
Unlike Mercy who really likes me, Quirrzle hates me and hisses at me even while I am taking her and her kittens food, so I have not yet been able to catch her to get her fixed. I tried to catch her once a few weeks back; she bit me in the hand hard enough to break my skin and leave a bruise even through heavy leather gloves :-) I figure she is going to go into heat again soon, so I am going to have to try to catch her in a cage (now that will be pleasant...) Anyway, since Quirrzle hates me, her kittens have not warmed up to me like Mercy's have. But they are healthy and happy for now, which is better than they would have gotten had they not found their way here...
Here's a shot of Quirrzle, their mom

Poor kitty. Maybe you could name her something else, like Sweetness, and she'll start changing her attitude. I've caught cats for spaying and neutering before. Saltless tuna and a cat cage. Good luck with that.
The photo is very cute. |

Aw, they're adorable. My first cat had been feral till she was 6 months' old but she eventually came out from behind the furniture and warmed up to us. There's still hope for these little guys. Watch that biting thing, though, or you'll wind up with an infection (yuck!) for your troubles. |
