Nice detail and use of dof. i like it that there is more kiwi than berry... that seems the less obvious choice. 6 sjgleah

Well done. I especially love the curve of the fruit at the bottom. 6 sjgleah

My favorite fruit, but a more unusual perspective on these would've made the photo more interesting to me. 6 sjgleah

Obviously this is, strictly speaking, a candid shot. And it is nicely done, technically. What keeps me from scoring it highly it is that the image would essentially be the same if the subject knew that you and the camera were there or not. The subject is there to be looked at and (potentially) photographed, so the "candid" nature of it dimnishes in my eyes. An example of "candid" that I'd like better in this context would be an image of spectators enjoying the performance.4 sjgleah

Doesn't do it for me as a candid image. More like p-journalism. I like it would rate it higher in a different challenge.... guess i need "unaware" people in a candid shot. 3 sjgleah

Yes, its candid. I'd like it better seeing more of what's immediately around your subject. 5 sjgleah

For me, the colors sell this pic...if the colors were bland, it wouldn't be interesting as a candid. 6 sjgleah

Too much extraneous stuff, and the fishermen are at too great a distance for this to be effective for me. Nice Idea, but what if you had cropped just above the head of the standing fisherman? 4 sjgleah

I don't see this as a candid image. To me, when a person is doing something where he/she knows that spectators are watching, the idea of "candid" goes away. 4 sjgleah
